Lisa Walker has more than 25 years’ operations and leadership experience in the university and research sectors. She specialises in managing services that support high-impact research, including areas of finance, human resources, communications, partnerships and engagement. As Chief Operating Officer, Lisa is responsible for managing the Centre’s complex operations, working closely with the Centre Director and other members of the Centre Executive team on matters of strategy, policy and supporting Centre research activities. She has a strong track record in research management – prior to joining the Digital Child, Lisa headed operations for the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems where she successfully led a number of initiatives to increase success in research commercialisation, and industry and stakeholder engagement.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Business Management (UQ) and a Master of Business (QUT). Her energetic and outcomes-driven nature, combined with skills in high-level administration and engagement, has allowed her to achieve outstanding outcomes in research management.
