Dr Kellie Vella researches human-computer interactions with a focus on social, wellbeing, and sustainable contexts. She draws upon theories and methods across the humanities (social and motivational psychology, ethnography, participatory research, and co-design) to design and evaluate technologies, and understand their context of use. Kellie contributes to the ‘Engaging the Digital Child with the Wonders of Nature, e-Science and the Outdoors’ project to which she will bring her interest in playful technologies, rich media, and nature engagement.
