    Ylva Ågren is an Associate Professor of Child and Youth Studies at the Department of Education, Communication and Learning, Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research focuses on children’s digital lives, exploring visibility, participation, rights, cultural production and labour in digital media environments. She also considers how children are positioned within contemporary consumer culture, examining the values and norms surrounding children, consumption and digitalisation. Taking an interdisciplinary and critical approach, her work is rooted in critical childhood studies, with a strong emphasis on children’s perspectives and child-centred methodologies. Her work has been published in journals such as Childhood, New Media & Society, Children & Society, and the International Journal of Cultural Studies.
