Professor Keumhee Ahn is an expert in children’s learning for visual literacy in the school and the art museum. Keumhee is leading the school’s practice through the research and development of elementary and secondary art textbooks. She also develops and operates art museum education programs for various audiences in the university art museum and conducts art museum education that utilizes the characteristics of the university art museum. Keumhee also has interested in meaning making of students and teachers in appreciating and creating artworks and will explore what kind of narratives students and teachers create and how they make them while appreciating and creative activities.
Keumhee is a main author of the elementary art textbook and co-author of the middle and high school art textbook. She has also contributed to scholarly books including Theory of Art Education (Hakjisa, 2024), Creativity in Education: International Perspectives (UCL Press, 2024), and etc. Keumhee regularly consults to public organisations and museums.
Keumhee is founder and Director of the Research Center for GINUE ART LAB, Gyeongin National University of Education and Course Leader of the M.Ed. in Museum Education.
