Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science with a background in language teaching, learning, and extensive experience working with young children, I am particularly focused on how video games can enhance language acquisition in early childhood. I am passionate about fostering the transmission of indigenous languages and cultures to young learners. By harnessing the immersive and engaging power of digital games, I aim to support the preservation of minority languages, ensuring they remain vibrant and accessible to future generations through playful, interactive learning experiences.
Earliest digital memory
One of my earliest digital memories dates back to when I was just six years old. I remember the excitement of watching my 15-year-old brother bring home a game console he had borrowed from a local shop. He played fighting games like Mortal Kombat, and I was completely mesmerized by the experience. The vivid sounds, fast-paced action, and novelty of it all left me in awe. That moment not only captivated my imagination but also ignited my passion for digital games and technology—a fascination that has stayed with me ever since.
