Dr. Marianne Undheim’s research focuses on various aspects of digital technology in early childhood education and care (ECEC), including creative use of digital technology, coding with coding toys and robots, reading digital books, and generative use of AI. She has also conducted research focusing on teachers’ professional digital competence in ECEC and in early childhood teacher education.
In her doctoral project, she explored groups of kindergarten children (4-5-year-olds) who created digital stories (an e-book and an animated film) together with a kindergarten teacher.
