| Iván Matovich is a PhD in Education candidate at Monash University. His research focuses on the implications of ‘new’ private actors and globalisation on education governance. He has a particular interest in understanding the power dynamics of education, policy and inequities. He was a researcher at the Think20, the G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centres. He completed a master’s degree in Political Studies in Education at the Institute of Education, University College London (UCL), and the Latin American Leadership Programme at Georgetown University. Ivan hopes to contribute to the centre through the critical analysis of EdTech and its political economy. Earliest digital memory My earliest digital memory takes me back to long nights of ICQ chats with dial-up interent and football games in Playstation. I was fascinated of how I could be ‘connected’ with school friends beyond school time. |
