As a paediatric nurse and an Associate Investigator in the Centre, Professor Evalotte Mörelius’s research focusses on developing and evaluating methods to prevent and decrease stress for children and their families. Evalotte’s research has a highly clinical, family-centered focus and includes RCTs as well as methodology research and qualitative research. To measure the objective level of stress, Evalotte has specialised in salivary cortisol and the development of the stress system in early life. Evalotte hopes to share and use her expertise to improve quality of life for children and their families.

Evalotte holds a Vice Chancellor professorial research fellow position at Edith Cowan University and is chair of paediatric nursing research at Perth Children’s Hospital since 2018. She is also affiliated with Linköping University in Sweden, where she previously was the head of the Division of nursing science and director of the master program for paediatric nursing. In 2015, Evalotte was awarded with a sabbatical fellowship to join the National University of Singapore. In collaboration with co-authors, Evalotte published a study in the Journal of Medical Internet Research titled Digital interventions to improve health literacy among parents of children 0 to 12 years with a health condition: Systematic review (2021).
