Dr Bogdan Mamaev is a Research Training Manager with the Australian Internet Observatory at Deakin University. With a background in Political Science and computational data collection methods, he works to make digital tools more accessible, trains social scientists in computational techniques, and advocates for the safe application of AI in research, learning, and policy-making. He is particularly interested in how technology policy and new technologies impact individuals, families, parents, and children.

I still remember waking up at 5:30 a.m. back in grade 1, turning the volume down so I wouldn’t wake my parents, just for the chance to play my favourite 2D games on the Sega Mega Drive.
