Anna is a PhD student at Curtin university investigating representations of children interacting with generative artificial intelligences. Their research will look at how parents, the news media, and children’s literature frame and imagine those interactions. As a long time science fiction reader, Anna is excited to explore this future they have long experienced through fiction.

Anna has an interdisciplinary background, covering mathematics, statistics, psychology, education, and computer science. Their previous research topics include learning deficits in pigeons, missing data in agricultural trials, models of significant diseases of wheat and canola, gastric emptying in pre-term infants, and many topics relating to human lactation.
