Cybersecurity: Mitigating psychological impacts within the Metaverse
About the project
The Metaverse is in development and children will be entering these virtual spaces at an increasing rate.
Regulation regarding the use of these spaces as well as regulations regarding the amount of personal, including biometric, data that can be collected from children in these spaces is currently uncertain.
This potential for unregulated virtual spaces and the wide collection of personal data may be exposing children to harmful situations as well as individually targeted psychological attacks.
As inquisitiveness is likely to draw users into these spaces without informed consideration of risks, this project aims to identify and mitigate these potential risks.
