Profiles of trajectories of children’s technology use

About the project

This study aims to identify trajectories or patterns of technology use by young children in the ACODA cohort considering the type of device (e.g. television, mobile phone etc.) and the time of use (i.e. weekday, weekend and average weekly use).

The study also aims to identify socio-demographic and family factors associated with trajectory membership.

It is important to consider device-specific patterns of digital technology use longitudinally as there is evidence to show different devices are associated with different outcomes, and children’s digital technology use is likely to change over time.
