Parental perceptions of the role of the media and digital platforms on children’s identity: An exploration of relationships and predictors
About the project
This project will examine the parental perception of the role of the media and digital platforms on their child’s sense of identity.
It will also examine the predictors of identity with a focus on the factors of digital technology access and use, well-being, disability and diagnosed conditions and sociodemographic factors.
This study aims to address a gap in our knowledge on the relationship between parental perceptions of identity and the relationship with sociodemographic factors, interaction with digital technologies, mental well-being and the relationship between perceived digital identity and vulnerable groups including children living with disability or a diagnosed condition and migrant families.
