Logan Stories: a collaboration with Gunya Meta
About the project
This project is grounded in a partnership between the Digital Child Centre and Gunya Meta, a non-profit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation that supports local families and communities across Logan, Queensland.
Working with families who participate in Gunya Meta’s early years program, Bullang jarjums, the project is supporting them to create and capture stories about the role of digital media in their everyday family life.
Families are able to tell these stories in their own voices through a range of mediums, including photographs and video diaries, and will determine how widely these stories are shared. Some stories will be combined with interviews from other community leaders to create a documentary-style video that contextualises, reflects on, and celebrates the families’ experiences.
