Children’s Online Privacy Code consultation – Academic roundtable

The Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 (the Act) introduced a mandate for the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to develop a Children’s Online Privacy Code (the Code), which will put children at the centre of privacy protections in Australia. Public consultation on the draft Code is running from Tuesday 31 March to Friday 5 June.

During this consultation period, the Digital Child is hosting a roundtable for academics on Tuesday, 12 May 1pm-2:30pm AEST. This is an opportunity to discuss the draft directly with the OAIC. All academics are welcome to attend this roundtable.
